Denniston Thomas Soccer Team
The Denniston Thomas Foundation now has a Soccer Team playing for its glory! Zog Sports, www.zogsports.com, is a Sports League that rewards the winning teams by donating a portion of their proceeds to the charity of the teams choice. This year we have teamed up with a group of 17 athletes to try and bring home the Co-Ed Adult Outdoor Soccer League Championship. We will keep you updated as the weeks and victories go by:

Team CUGS Won it All!! That's right. We won 4 straight playoff games (3-2, 4-2, 5-2 and 5-3 in the final)! Incredible. The Denniston Thomas Foundation would like to thank all of our great teammates that pulled together to make this happen. It was a great experience and our win brought in $500 for the Foundation! Yah!!!

U2 Raffle!
Our U2 Raffle was a huge success! Thanks to all of you who supported us by buying tickets and coming out for the raffle drawing! Here's a note from our raffle WINNER Jill Samonte-O'Neill...congrats Jill!!
THANK YOU so very much for the opportunity to donate to the Denniston Foundation AND get a chance to see U2 on Saturday night. There's a reason that the Garden is the greatest arena in the world...the concert was AMAZING!
The seats were great. We never sat in them, though, we were on our feet the whole concert, dancing and singing at the top of our lungs. We even sat next to some crazy U2 fans that made the experience even better! They played 3 encores and even played songs not in the set. (I think NYC is one of their favorite places to play.)
Bono got a little political (imagine that), but it was all about the war on poverty. It would be great to have them incorporate local foundations that help around the world, huh? (They'll be back in October!)
My favorite song of the evening was "Where the Streets Have No Name". We both were transported back 18 years ago to the Joshua Tree tour. It was a great night.
